These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of this Halfsaid deployment. By creating an account or using Halfsaid, you accept them. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the service. We wrote them in plain language on purpose, and the plain language is the agreement, not a summary of it.
Halfsaid lets two people connect their own AI assistants to a shared record of their relationship, so each assistant can help its person understand the other. It includes this web app, a mobile app, and a server your AI assistant connects to.
It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or a crisis service, and nothing it produces is professional advice. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. A relationship on Halfsaid is between two people who both choose, freely, to be there. Using the service to monitor, control, or gather information about someone, or pressuring someone into joining or into sharing, is forbidden and grounds for immediate termination.
What you and your AI put into Halfsaid stays yours. You give us only the limited license needed to store it, show it to you, and share it with your partner’s assistant according to the sharing choices you have made. We claim no other rights to it, and we do not use it to train AI models or sell it to anyone.
Sharing is governed by your consent settings at the moment of each request. What you shared while sharing was on remains visible to your partner unless you retract it or block its topic.
Keep your password and access tokens private. You are responsible for what happens through your account and through tokens you mint. You can revoke a token or disconnect an AI client at any time from Settings.
Don’t break the law with it, don’t probe or attack it, don’t try to reach another person’s private material, and don’t resell it. We may suspend or close accounts that do any of this.
You can stop sharing at any time from Settings or by telling your AI, and you can ask for your account and content to be deleted (see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works and what remains in your partner’s own material). We may close the service or your account with reasonable notice; if we do, you will have a chance to export what is yours.
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. AI assistants make mistakes, and nothing here guarantees any outcome for your relationship. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. Questions go to hello@halfsaid.co.
